Sapporo City Exhibits at Electronica 2024 with Hokkaido University

Sapporo City will be exhibiting alongside Hokkaido University at Electronica 2024 in Munich, Germany, from November 12-15, 2024. This leading trade show, held since 1964, gathers the world’s forefront electronics development and manufacturing technologies.

In collaboration with Hokkaido University, Sapporo will promote itself as an ideal destination for international companies by highlighting local technological advancements.

Hokkaido University, ranked 6th in Japan, is known for its leading technology and studies in various areas including semiconductors, AI and deep-tech. Technologies being highlighted at the event include technology for storing heat to cool semiconductors, devices to help with quality control in chemical and food manufacturing industries, plasma control equipment to help with miniaturization of semiconductors.

The city’s participation also seeks to foster connections with German companies and economic organizations, strengthening Sapporo’s international ties and creating opportunities to attract foreign businesses.
